Required Materials

  • Manioc leaves
  • Tibbatu 
  • Red onion
  • Dried chillies
  • Grated coconut 
  • Salt
  • Coconut Oil

 

How to make.

Well-clean manioc leaves from water and remove water. Then grind them in a mortar. Add some tibbatu to this and grind again. Add green chillies and grated coconut and grind again. After grinding well add water and salt and boil. It does not need to be boiled too much. Once the water dries, transfer the leaf mixture to another pot. Put another pot on the stove and add some oil, onion, and dried chilli and fry. Then add the leaves mixture into it and cook.

 

Manioc should not be taken for consumption if they have been removed from the soil and expired more than 3 days. Also, discoloured manioc should not be used. When cooking manioc peel manioc and wash it. Then cut manioc into small pieces and put them into a pot. Add water into the pot and boil without closing the lid. Here, as the manioc boils, hydrogen cyanide, which is toxic to the human body, is released as a gas. Once the manioc is well boiled, the remaining water should also be removed.
