Properties of mushrooms

Reducing blood cholesterol levels

Although mushrooms provide more protein supply to the body, the amount of carbohydrates and fats consumed is very low.  In addition, the fiber and other enzymes contained in it contribute to reducing blood cholesterol levels.  Mushrooms are a protein-rich food.  Therefore, when they are ingested, more energy must be expended to digest those proteins.  Cholesterol is burned here.  As a result, the level of bad LDL cholesterol in the body decreases and the level of HDL cholesterol reaches an optimal value.  Due to this, the risk of diseases like heart attacks and strokes is reduced.

Eliminate anemia

One of the main causes of anemia is low iron in the blood.  Anemia causes symptoms such as fatigue, headaches, decreased activity, and digestive problems.  Mushrooms are a food rich in iron.  Also, most of the iron contained here is at a level that can be easily absorbed by the body.  As a result, red blood cell production becomes ineffective.

Fighting cancer

Mushrooms prevent breast cancer and prostate cancer.  This is due to beta glucan and linoleic acid contained in mushrooms.  Both of these have anti-cancer properties.  Linoleic acid reduces the effects of excess estrogen.  Beta glucan strengthens the body's immune system and inhibits the proliferation of prostate-related cancer cells.  In addition, mushrooms are also useful in preventing the formation of tumors that can turn into cancer.

Control diabete

Mushrooms are a good food for diabetics.  Due to its low energy content, low starch and fat content, high protein content, good vitamins and minerals, and abundance of fiber, it is very beneficial for the body of diabetic patients.  Especially since they contain some natural insulin and other beneficial enzymes, which make the body's mechanism of breaking down sugar or starch ineffective.

Improve bone health

Mushrooms are a food rich in calcium.  Calcium is an essential component for bone health.  Adequate intake of calcium in the body over a long period of time reduces the risk of osteoporosis.  In addition, wear and tear on bones and joints is also reduced.

Boosting the body's immunity

Mushrooms contain a powerful antioxidant called ergotyanin.  Therefore, eating mushrooms leads to the inhibition of immunity in the body.  It also strengthens the body's immune system.  Apart from this, vitamins A, C, and B complex contained in these also develop immunity.

Prevention of high blood pressure

Some edible mushrooms are very high in potassium.  Potassium reduces the tension in the blood vessels and relaxes their walls, thus preventing an unnecessary rise in blood pressure in the body as a whole.  Due to this, fatal conditions like heart attacks are avoided.  In addition, the presence of potassium in the body ensures good blood supply to the brain.  Thus, the entire functioning of the body becomes efficient.

Enhancing iron absorption

Mushrooms contain yamin copper which stimulates the body's iron absorption mechanism.  Mushrooms are also rich in iron, which fulfills the body's iron
